I had a couple more weeks to go to finish my radiation treatments (forty-three in all). I could see the end and was so thankful to God for getting me through them. All at once I began to have small, sharp, jabbing pains in my chest. The pains were not like a heart attack but pains that told me something was wrong. I went to my cardiologist and he scheduled a nuclear stress test that showed abnormalities and immediately scheduled a heart catherization. On Sunday, I went to the Altar for prayer. On Thursday, Pastor Jason and the staff prayed for me. On Friday, I was admitted into the hospital for the procedure. After about three hours, I was brought back to my room and Donna was told the doctor would be in soon. He came through the door with a smile saying, "I have good news"! He said he went into the procedure knowing from the nuclear stress test that he had work to do and wondered how he was going to do some of it. When he went in -- HE FOUND NOTHING!! He said "nothing he expected to find was there"!! All of my bypasses from years ago were open, looking good and working fine. He checked all of my arteries and found everything was clear. One year ago, he found a blockage and because of where it was decided to just keep a watch on it. Now IT was also gone! A week before the catherization, my family doctor told me that my triglycerides were high--now my cardiologist was telling me they were perfect! After five hours of lying completely flat, I was released from the hospital and by 7:00 P.M. that same day, I was at home! When God does a work, He does it perfectly! I give Him all my praise!!
